Q: Identify one example of an educational ICT-innovation and it's impact on practice. (200 words)
Shall we have some discussion on the above here?
Educational ICT-innovation could be from "Playing video from Internet", "Online discussion" to "use of iPad during lesson", "use of intelligent white board in class"...
Which one should we pick? What is your opinion?
I think cloud computing in elearning and interactive whiteboard in class should be a good example of an educational ICT-innovation!
ReplyDeleteI agree that cloud computing can be used as the example. Everything is done in the Internet nowadays (like Google doc, online storage, ePortfolio, etc). This is also an echo of what Jacqueline has posted in another thread - lesson is done online, at anytime anywhere.

ReplyDeleteThe interactive whiteboard is a good example. When first introduced they were seen as an innovative use of technology, when in fact, they did much to ensure classrooms remained in the chalk and talk methodology that had gone before.
They allowed teachers to continue their didactic approach to pedagogy justifying their methods by using technology.
Rather like PowerPoint, it could be argued that IWBs have done much to stifle classroom innovation.
