Innovation

  1. Steve Jobs, definitely, an innovator and genius. He passed away but there are a lot of Apple Fans and Apple Inc will still follow his step and spirit. I think he should be the innovative leader and Tim Cook should be his follower in Apple Inc.

  2. Lots of manufacturers consider it necessary to follow up customers' need to create products, but Jobs stated that he knew better than others on what they need and created great products changing the way we are thinking and living. To follow up standards or to create standards really make great differences.

  3. Yes, I also think that Steve Jobs is a genius, a creative scientist (in the I.T. field).

This also reminds me that our professor has said: the innovative practices do not necessarily come from some new technology. What Steve Jobs "invented", like the iPhone, iPad, iPod... these are based on some existing I.T. technologies, such as touch-screen input, mobile devices, WiFi technologies, digital sound player, collaboration of software ...

However, he used his innovation to combine the technologies into one user-friendly device, and it is proved to be very successful. I believe the innovation is from the way that the technologies are used, but not whether those underlying technologies are new or not.
